If it’s so bad then why doesn’t the polling look worse for Biden? Also, where has Trump been since the debate? He can’t hide forever and once he starts speaking again people will be reminded of what a disaster he is. And all the damage he caused with his first term.
If Republicans were wise, they'd just kick back and play golf until November. Since that disastrous debate, the entire country is focused on Biden's cognitive decline and his capacity and fitness to serve as President. And since Democrats have decided to stick with Biden as their candidate for a second term - when Biden will be 86 - the glare of the media will be 100 percent fixed on Biden. Every gaffe, every unfinished sentence, every senior moment, every time Biden appears unaware of his surroundings will be magnified and highlighted and will be the lead story 24/7 until the election. That's it. That is the only narrative between now and November. And Democrats will lose badly because this is what they chose.
I don’t think Trump can help himself. No rallies? And Project 2025 gives the Ds a lot to talk about. As well as focusing on the damage from when Trump was president. Women are really ticked off too, that should not be discounted.
Trump won't be able to help himself, of course. But the greater story - every day - is that we presently have a President who is clearly unfit to do the job now, and yet is running for another 4 year term. That is the story. And nothing Trump says is going to change that - which is to his benefit of course. Trump and Republicans are going to get a free pass from here until November because the President of the United States has dementia or something similar and is running for reelection and Democrats are standing behind a geriatric who has no business being in the White House. That is the story. And not even Trump can change that. Nor should he want to. It will be a landslide victory for him regardless.
Well if you had a “normal” candidate perhaps you would be right. But we have been here before with Trump, he is not an unknown. And he is scary. A narcissist with absolutely zero self control. And he is almost 80 and can barely string coherent sentences together.
