Awfully quiet in here.
Is it? Sounds like teachers don’t think that book is a useful resource in the classroom anymore. That’s not banning. The struggle for fascists to feel like not fascists is real, I’m sure, but I also think you guys are currently beyond redemption.
    OMG. I can't even with your moving the goalposts every time Democrats are caught being hypocrites - which is every single day. You people are such a joke. DP
Okay? “Banning” is a real word with a specific meaning. What these teachers did isn’t “banning.” What the Orwellian named “Moms for Liberty” is doing is banning. Several elected Republicans have been giddy about banning and burning books. Your party is fascist.
Tell us the meaning of the word "ban." I don't see any difference in what these two sides are doing. One group works to "ban" sexually explicit books from school libraries. The other group seeks to ban classics like To Kill a Mockingbird from school libraries. How are these any different?
Who is banning To Kill A Mockingbird from school libraries? I’ve heard of teachers who after students shared their reaction to it asked to remove it from the *required* reading list. I have not heard of these same teachers seeking to prevent students from getting access to it in school libraries. Is Moms For Liberty just trying to take books off required reading lists or are they trying to prevent students from being able to get their hands on a copy in the school library? Should be a simple question to answer.
