Explain why it is so common for these entitlement parents of private school children to feel so much shame and embarrassment they are driven to lie and tell half truths?  What's so shameful about prepping for entrance tests and extra tutoring?    Their attitude harks back to the Pilgrim days of Hester Prynne in Nathaniel Hawthorne's,  The Scarlet Letter![/quote]
