I knew BB a decade ago, and everything people are saying is accurate… unfaithful, creepy, egotistical, unwarrantedly cocky, and would stab someone in the back to get ahead. Christine was a great person. All that being said I can’t imagine BB killing or planning to kill her… but I haven’t seen him in a while and people do crazy things so who knows. The evidence certainly is not looking good for him. I do not think we can just assume we know what JR was capable of though. Just because his friends and family stand up for him and say only the good things doesn’t mean we know the whole story. He could be an angel, and completely innocent, but I am not sure we can just automatically rule him out of any wrongdoing. Friends and family are just doing their job sticking up for him. Though I do admit…I don’t see any of that on BB's side.
I don't see a motive for JR and the state of VA has laid out a fairly classic and convincing one for BB and AP - affair & money, especially if there is life insurance money at stake. If so very curious when it was purchased. It's notable that LE refers to both Joe and Christine as "victims" and the chief speaks of holding someone "accountable" re: their open and ongoing investigation. So not AP and not JR, who is left? Day of chief said BB and AP were "present and involved." BB has a creepy vibe even on his FB. Seems cold and kind of tightly wound. You never know with people like that. C should have left him long ago, but who could imagine someone they have known for decades being capable of this? And they seem to think they will get away with it?! Anyone know how old BB was when his father walked out on him? Sometimes when a childhood trauma anniversary age is reached by your own child it can prompt some pretty crazy midlife crisis type behavior, although not like this. Not only do people not say + things about BB, same seems true for AP. Birds of a feather, perhaps. Thanks for chiming in, PP.
+1. There’s just no motive for JR. His actions aren’t in line with someone planning to murder another person. He told his friends about the Banfields. He parked his car in their driveway. He communicated with them on his personal devices as opposed to a throwaway number, etc. Nothing about his actions leading up to that day suggests he could’ve done this, and he’d have no reason to do it. Contrast that to BB.
