1. Robo 2. Langley 3. Battlefield 4. Madison 5. Yorktown 6. Freedom 7. Cosby 8. Hayfield 9. Mclean 10. West Potomac
I think McLean should be at 7, above Cosby and Hayfield. But, I think the 1-6 is spot on.
1) Robo- Every team below them has some serious questionable games or opponents 2) Battlefield- looks like they played last Thur/Fri and are 3-0 3) Freedom- 8-0 is 8-0 4tie) Hayfield 7-0 is 7-0 4tie) Langley 3 less goals over 2 games last week and they would have been out of the top 10 6) McLean- came close but failed both tough tests so far 7) Cosby- Only real test at Atlee and they came up 2 short, same as Madison 8) Madison- 5-5 is .500 ball. Its not about potential or injury but what the scoreboard says 9) Yorktown- at 4-3 should be above Madison but for 1 in OT, could be above Langley but for 1 in OT too. 10) No one stands out- but could be a 5 way tie among teams. Before you get all up in arms (and do I care NO). I am more of a believer in ranking based on W/L and a snapshot of today, and I mean today what is the team doing right now and what is the record, therefore my rankings can swing week to week. I don't like to factor in "potential", past results, injury or much else. H2H and total record is a LARGE deciding factor to me. Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda is not factored in here. Parcells has a famous quote the encapsulates his philosophy about excellence which says, “You are what your record says you are.” Results speak for themselves. While in life the little things do matter, you are ultimately judged by the results you deliver. Your friendly disposition, generosity, good heart, while all incredibly important, are meaningless to the extent you don’t deliver the results. Most people let others and society define themselves. I believe true character and purpose comes from defining oneself. Bill Parcells knew it was only his record each year that mattered. All past success and titles were just that: past. What truly mattered was the very moment in which he lived and produced results.
This ranking is pretty funny. Madison has played Maryland’s 2 best publics, Riverside, and Atlee. Putting themselves to the test and getting better. Which 6A would have won one or more of those games?
