And then there is the constant churn of teachers dropping in to save the world and moving on down the highway when they can't hack it at a Title I school or in our NOVA school system, which is particularly messed up. Teaching is a tough gig and it keeps on getting tougher. The new year has started with our most recent paycheck. I didn't change anything - none of the benefits, nothing. My 9/30 paycheck this year is $19 more than last year's 9/30 paycheck. It is increasingly hard to justify being a teacher.[/quote]
