You have NO idea if this man's wife wasn't gossiping or complaining about the nanny's car or the parking situation to him. We do not know if his wife knew what he was up to or not.

Spouses tend to discuss things.

And until the news divulges the nanny had VA tags it really does not matter that you "know". She still had a parking permit to be there and was not staying over night. Citizens on patrol do not trump the rules if they are being followed. Not sure why people cannot accept this. [/quote]

Pp here -- I also think the nanny wasn't doing anything wrong, just confirming to an earlier poster that the nanny doesn't have DC plates.

If my DH told me that he was going to be spending time during the day documenting parking passes, I would have recommended that he find a better hobby, or maybe even just tell him to go talk with the police and parking permit people. I have a hard time believing a wife (with a military background) would encourage her husband (with a security clearance) to break the law himself by stealing the tags.[/quote]
