I live in Shaw. I will try Seaton for round 2 and any other neighborhood schools. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.
Mount Vernon Square here, several of our families are going to Seaton next year, so you would be in good company there. A few families who were shut out are planning to go Walker Jones in round 2. Good luck![/ Thank you, our daughter's coop teacher said it's good for preschool and suggested we look into it for its diversity (our daughter is Asian while we are of European/Latin American heritage).
I live right across the street from Seaton. There are quite a few Asian students there. I think among the DCPS schools, next to Thomson, Seaton has the highest percentage. There are also many latinos. All the kids look very well behaved as I see them going to school every morning. I don't think it's such a bad option. Also, I think that the PS3 classes are in a separate "wing" from the rest of the school. I thought that was a nice feature to keep the older kids away from the younger ones.
