Say what you will about Catholic schools, and of course there are exceptions, but they are so much closer to the ideal of universal education than other area privates. Even Prep.

As far as Jesus in publics, maybe not literally, but I've seen more of that in spirit at least. When you know you can't "counsel out" a child, you become a lot more committed to their success. Publics have to educate, after all, "the least of my people".
