Let's also consider the legal handwringing over the Pentagon Papers. Uighur culture is alive and well, not least for tourism. Uighurs, as all minority groups are, were exempt from the one child policy. Papers here in the US don't report it but there has been militant terrorism in China from Turkmenistan groups within the Uighur population. You know how GW Bush cracked down on the middle east after 9/11? China cracked down when something similar happened.[/quote]
