Once in college, visits home meant: young adult does their own grocery shopping and cooks for themselves. Give me receipts and I'll reimburse for your groceries within reason. Yes we have some family meals but that's not to be assumed. Plenty of happy times and plenty of togetherness, but that does not change that we are all adults living together, for this period of time.
