I am a fed manger with a 25 year old employee that is still on her parents health insurance plan. It never occurred to her to sign up for her own insurance. I found that peculiar but I guess because there is still a cost to their kid her parents were happy to keep her on their plan as long as they could. She is an only child.
We have military insurance as retirees and we will look at the cost/benefit and if its a better plan/more cost effective we will keep our child on as long as we can. We have to pay for it after 22, but for us, it doesn't matter if we have a family of 3/4 or 20, its the same price so you keep the kids on as long as possible.
