How would you stock up this early? All your produce and bread and meat would go bad by Sunday/Monday?
I have a freezer.
Do you...freeze produce and bread?
You can freeze bread, it actually freezes and thaws pretty well. I guess buy hardier produce? Potatoes, carrots, onions, apples, and oranges stay good longer. Regardless, even if we do get 10-12” of snow I don’t think it will be too difficult to clear. It’s going to be COLD. This is going to fall as light powder, not a heavy sticky mess. There will be no natural slight melting and re-freezing either. Not with highs in the mid-20s at most and lows in the teens or single digits. Then again, I’m always shocked at how poorly some of the roads are treated here and there is definitely an “eh just let it melt” mentality at times. But hopefully with all this advance warning, the road crews take it more seriously so you can get to the stores by Tuesday after the storm if needed.
