The kids club or college coaches call the USL coach. Or they get cut from NWSL and try to find a USL team. All you really have to show is interest.  Most of the USL players were off the bench at sub tier colleges. [/quote]

They were all good college players. They were all really good youth players too. The pyramid gets smaller as you progress in levels.
