I work in a client facing job, and I have plenty of admin work, projects I am “voluntold” to work on, etc. [b]what makes teachers so different [/b]or special?[/quote] Well, you have one or several supervisors who assess you, and they are presumably well-versed in the ins and outs of your field/job. Teachers have dozens to hundreds of adults who feel they have the right to assess, rebuke, report, and discuss the performance, and the majority of these adults have no real understanding of the job, plus all of the evidence used for this assessment comes second-hand, from the mouths of children. That's the difference.[/quote]
