They all run in completely different friend groups….and never see each other. My kid has met students from all over the globe being at UVA….definitely not “high school “ repeat.[/quote] We went for a visit and we ran into so many kids from high school, from various sports teams, etc. Then, if we didn’t actually know them - pretty much every kid was from Loudoun, Fairfax co or Arlington. The few offshoots were Long Islanders. At my other kid’s private, there are very few from VA. Kids are from all over the world. VA isn’t even widely represented and the school is 7 hours away which is “new”. I think people don’t necessarily use that phrase to mean it is everyone from their same HS- rather a feeling. [/quote]
