Definitely. DCs and all I applied to Emory, would never have been interested in Hopkins. Emory at least has normal, smart, social, attractive students. Hopkins is just stem bots in an atrocious neighborhood.  Hard pass.[/quote]

I don’t understand why some people here are trying to convince others to stop bashing Emory by bashing Hopkins instead.  These are both good schools.  Neither is dreary.  Both have great student bodies with many happy and impressive students doing a lot of normal college things, including parties and sports and spending time in their respective urban areas.  I’ve spent lots of time at both and they both have lovely campuses.  Many different, but some overlapping, strong academic programs.  Spreading mean and untrue stereotypes about Hopkins isn’t convincing anyone here to like Emory better.  I love both schools.  [/quote]
