Democrats don't want illegal immigration. Biden and Obama deported many more and legally, than Trump.
Democrats supported border reform bills that would address the many structural issues that exist. The GOP has tanked the bills every time they were offered, mostly to keep people like you angry. Sadly, their ploy worked.

This. Abortion used to be the issue republicans wanted to keep on the table. They had opportunities over the 50-year run to overturn Roe v Wade, but they didn’t want to lose their single-issue voters. But as public opinion on abortion started to shift, they knew they just needed to get it done and move on to their next boogie man issue.

You are not getting the point. Dems were going up against a fascist. To beat a fascist - a supposed serious threat - you nominate the best candidate ever, not someone who is on record advocating for sending men to women’s prisons and paying for sex changes for prisoners who was such an unserious politician that she dropped out of the 2020 primaries before they even started because her own voters didn’t even like her. This is not rocket science!!!!!

Regarding the trans issue, it is a fringe issue and an overwhelming majority of voters do not want trans athletes in women’s sports or to be in women’s prisons. Advocating for the opposite view makes you look like a fringe “weirdo,”’ to quote Tim Walz. When you are trying to defeat fascism you don’t nominate someone with fringe weirdo views that aren’t shared, especially, by the working class people you are trying to court. Listen to Charlamagne, not to me.
