You are not getting the point. Dems were going up against a fascist. To beat a fascist - a supposed serious threat - you nominate the best candidate ever, not someone who is on record advocating for sending men to women’s prisons and paying for sex changes for prisoners who was such an unserious politician that she dropped out of the 2020 primaries before they even started because her own voters didn’t even like her. Regarding the trans issue, it is a fringe issue and an overwhelming majority of voters do not want trans athletes in women’s sports or to be in women’s prisons. Advocating for the opposite view makes you look like a fringe “weirdo,”’ to quote Tim Walz. When you are trying to defeat fascism you don’t nominate someone with fringe weirdo views that aren’t shared, especially, by the working class people you are trying to court. So you would prefer human beings simply die in the streets? I mean, as it is, doctors are obliged to treat humans regardless of status in emergency rooms, so we are already paying for it. Including illegals in healthcare plans make it a lost less expensive for society as a whole. But people like you don't know how things work and don't care and long as you can own the libs.

I only posted this because I didn’t have time to post the other moment of them agreeing that illegal immigration should be treated with civil fines and not deportation. The combination of both these moments infuriated Dem centrists like me. I could never vote for Trump but a lot of independents and socially conservative Dems moved to Trump because of stuff like this. If Dems just went back to Obama’s immigration stance, or Bernie’s when he said illegal immigration depressed wages and was a “Koch brothers plot,” Trump would never be here.

Your explanation of the facts doesn't mesh with reality. The reality is that all the Democrat jurisdictions have adopted sanctuary strategies to aid illegal immigration. Those bills they introduced were horrible.
