[/quote] Honestly, I think they should shorten the day. My district had ES start at 9:15 but they were out at 3:45. I think if they shorten the day, that would help. [/quote] They can't. The state requires 180 days or 990 instructional hours. They go to school for 180 days but have 14 days of extra time built into the year by making each day a bit longer than required. Without that extra time, they'd need have extra days in the calendar in case of snow.[/quote]
