I have friends with kids at a late start school. 30 minutes moves them from "doable" to "very inconvenient". Their kids are typically off the bus between 4:45 and 4:50 pm. Moving their schedule back by 30 minutes would make after school sports or activities not possible.

I also wonder what this would do to our elementary school teachers who live in other counties. Pushing elementary hours back so late throws late start teachers on the roads during peak rush hour time and if they have children, will they be able to secure care for the additional time?

I'd much prefer C2 and have my kids have a much earlier start time than pushing elementary kids back so late in the day. [/quote]
