Also, depending on the agency, the offer conflicts with specific agency rules. It's a huge risk to take for a private individual. The language of some of the Fork emails stated that once accepted, the employee waived all rights to complain later. Some emails said that actual work might be required of some employees, in person. [b]And indeed, some IRS employees who took the offer found out that the IRS still required them to work until May![/b] I believe this was used as an example in the lawsuit, but I may be wrong. Unions are doing their jobs and protecting their members from exploitative labor practices. [/quote]
