UMD doesn't do that. It's because students are compared to their peers in *their* schools. So, a high stat kid in a W school won't stand out, but one in WM would stand out. Big fish; little pond. That college consultant is stealing people's money with bad info.[/quote] Correct. So many high stats kids applying to the same small group of majors. They are absolutely compared to one another. Relatively small differences in stats or LORs can make or break an application in that context.[/quote]
