How many normal jobs are subject to a brand new administration with varying political ideologies every 4 years?

I imagine a lot of private companies would have a hard time hiring and retaining at will employees if they knew every 4 years there would be a huge turnover in management who may decide to fire them and replace them with their own people. Which is why to function the government provides civil workforce protections. This isn’t even a uniquely American thing, it’s a functioning government thing. [/quote]

This is pretty much the premise of a lot of private equity investment, so this unfortunately is not an unusual scenario in the private sector. Which is one of the reasons I am very empathetic to the uncertainty and worse that you are all going through right now. It’s just rotten. I’m sorry.[/quote]
