[/quote] Not true. Are you a fed? Their was a small 2.5% raise in 2010, but in 2011 and 12 there was a freeze due to the recession. Private sector wasn’t giving out raises and the deficit was out of control. Obama proposed a small insignificant raise in 2013, but Congress said NO, we were still in a freeze and deficit reduction. Government also took money back from employees that year by temporary layoffs. Employees gradually began receiving raises in 2014, but nothing compared to private sector employees. I am glad next year will be my last year to worry about this, as I will have received that magical age to retire. I’ve been told the cola raises are greater than the raises received for a 40-hour work week. [/quote]
