I am on highway with posted speed limit of 65. I choose to go 75. People in middle lane are going 65. I pass them on the left but I am in left lane all the time. Am I cruising? What if I choose to go 80. Still cruising? At what speed over limit does it change from cruising to speeding?
When you are no longer passing the middle lane and have opportunity to move over. Its okay to repetitively pass people while driving down a long stretch of highway. It is not weaving in and out of traffic. It doesnt need to be completely clear ahead of you in the middle lane to move over. It is my belief that people who drive "cruising" where they take a lane are afraid to drive behind other people and arent good drivers because they dont like merging lanes/exit lanes. It's all very passive drivers who dont actually want to have to pay attention.
