It was a stunt, but one of the few good things that the late mayor-for-life did was one night to have MPD herd a number of prostitutes across the 14th Street bridge into Virginia.  Barry said that's where a lot of the johns lived so he was moving the illicit business to another jurisdiction.  It would have been hilarious to see the prostitutes staggering across the bridge in their oversized heels, trailed by slow moving DC police cruisers.

I remember watching the news that night in college.  They were marching them across the bridge until a photographer showed up then they stopped.  Ch 4 News (they always got the nasty news first) had videos of the hos sitting down on the “curb” rubbing their tired and blistery feet.  Ho shoes don’t look like they’re good for a ho hike.  You were right.  It was hilarious![/quote]
