Wtf! The city had done such a good job cleaning up this area and at the very least moving this off the street. Tbh, I don’t go out much these days for late dinners, but this feels like bad slippage by the city.
Has it been like this for a while? These women were literally half naked. I had not seen this in years.

Exactly. If everyone can smoke weed wherever they want, then I should be allowed to hire the services of a woman who chooses to perform sex acts for money. What business is it of 40something wine-mommies in Logan or Shaw what the two of us do after a mutually agreed upon transaction?
Mind your own business, wine-moms.
Consenting and an exchange of money are at odds. At least, for someone who has a smattering of ethics.
I accept money in exchange for toiling at a job I’d rather not have to do. But we all do what we choose to to get by, don’t we?
Is someone forcing you to work and taking 90% of your earnings?
Most sex workers are self-representing now. Pimps aren’t really a thing anymore.
Said sex workers when surveyed by researchers when their pimp was watching.

"Crime for All."
It was a stunt, but one of the few good things that the late mayor-for-life did was one night to have MPD herd a number of prostitutes across the 14th Street bridge into Virginia. Barry said that's where a lot of the johns lived so he was moving the illicit business to another jurisdiction. It would have been hilarious to see the prostitutes staggering across the bridge in their oversized heels, trailed by slow moving DC police cruisers.
Maybe Bowser can push out today's sex workers on e-bikes.![]()
I remember watching the news that night in college. They were marching them across the bridge until a photographer showed up then they stopped. Ch 4 News (they always got the nasty news first) had videos of the hos sitting down on the “curb” rubbing their tired and blistery feet. Ho shoes don’t look like they’re good for a ho hike. You were right. It was hilarious!
