Even if they're not cancelled I would cancel and rebook on another plane type. All that said, I thought all 737 Max 9's were grounded by the FAA for the time being.

Nope, only the ones with the door plug.  Not all Max 9's have the door plug- some have an actual door there.  Depends on their seat density.  Past a certain number of seat you need the extra exit door.  But some airlines don't have their layout that dense, so they don't need the door, and order it with the door plug in place.  It's lighter and less parts/maintenance than a door, if you are wondering why not order it with the door.  Of course that assumes it's installed correctly!

And the Max 8 is smaller so it can't get to the number of seats required to need the extra exit door.  That's why none of them have the door/plug option, and hence none are grounded.[/quote]
