Only publics from *Northern* Virginia matters, if that's your student.
This. You shouldn't have any if you're from a NOVA public, per staff at our HS. It's rare you'll get in with Bs.
This is completely false. My mom lives works in Financial Services at W&M and this is my sons target school. She friends with everyone in admissions and what they much prefer is rigor. A B in AP calc is not the same as a B in academic history. Your counselors are incorrect.
Oh dear. You have so much to learn. That's what counselors say, not what they mean. What they mean is that they want to see applicants who have taken the most rigorous courseloads BUT have also gotten As, which is why the incoming class last year at W&M had a 4.51 at the 75th percentile, a 4.33 at the median and a 4.15 at the bottom 25th percentile of the class. Which means you need most rigorous courses AND top grades. The 75th percentile also had a 34 ACT and/or a 1520 SAT. https://research.schev.edu//enrollment/B10_FreshmenProfile.asp.
Why is W&M reporting GPAs for 1426 out of 1622 students?
