The Charles Allen clip. I hear it not as concern for the shooter, but the the shorter was agitated and I’m a crisis. That’s just facts but sympathy. We do need to address the root cause - person I’m a mental health crises with acres to guns. Never heard of Charles Allen before today but he’s not a person to blame here. Blame lax gun laws (a uniquely American issue) and lack of mental health services.
He actually shares the blame: Criminal code revision easier on car jacking and less time for violent offenders Leading proponent of Youth Rehabiliation act that hides violent records Pushing million to “violence interruptors” where all studies show no real efficacy Second chance act proponent Blamed the city for not cleaning leaves sooner when kids were lighting them on fire. Basically he is a weak on crime politician pushing woke criminal justice reform that actually sucks.
This. Charles Allen is DC's biggest advocate for violent criminals, drug dealers and homeless vagrants. How dare regular people ask for basic public safety!
Taking away stoves: https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2023/02/04/dc-gas-stoves-charles-allen/ Do people under $80k own homes in DC? How do chefs feel about this? Electric stoves are not popular in restaurant kitchens at all. This seems like a stupid issue to push. Also, it’s frustrating that Charles can find time from being lenient on crime, and lowering penalties for violent car jacking, and other crimes, but find time to push this very contentious issue. No one has time or the inclination to fork out tons of money to retrofit their house for this crap. Get out of here. Seriously, focus on criminals not being prosecuted under your stupid youth rehab act, second chance act, and other idiocy. Also, maybe focus on the fact that violence interruptors are a waste of millions and don’t interrupt anything according to all studies. I’m sick of progressive policy and the associated tax payer funded expenses in this city.
