You don’t need to mix it with anything. There are marijuana addicts just like there are addicts for other psychoactive substances. Some of them are using it to treat underlying mental illness, which typically gets worse. Others are prone to mental illness and over time marijuana leads them further and further in that direction. The “once upon a time” Cheech & Chong stereotype of a mellowed out stoner whose worst problem is the munchies was never grounded in fact and certainly is not today when marijuana is infinitely more powerful than the weak “grass” that gave rise to the idea that marijuana was pretty much harmless.
