I went to Michigan, so I'm not complaining about Ann Arbor, it's probably the best college town in the US. But, I grew up in Canada and my family lived in Michigan at the time, so I was used to the cold and gloomy darkness. There are probably a number of people from warmer states that might forego applying to schools like Michigan that are located in such cold locations. Our friend's daughter, who is graduating from Thomas Jefferson HS this year applied only to schools in warmer places. [/quote]
