I wasn’t able to find it online. But if you go to VT school specific information sessions and ask they will tell you the cutoff to submit for SAT for the program you want. Could never get UVA or WM to do that but VT will. They will also give you the median SAT etc. if you ask. GPA they aren’t going to be able to answer in a meaningful fashion because high schools vary.
At UVA and W&M kids don't apply by major. UVA is by college (A&S, Engineering, etc.). Median SATs, etc. are on the SCHEV website and also in common data sets. UVA also has data available by college on its website (applied, accepted, SAT, ACT, GPA).
Yes, I should have been more specific, to clarify: UVA and WM will not tell you whether to go test optional or not, the cutoff of when it hurts a kid to submit. VT will. To my knowledge VT does not publish specific information regarding scores for each program, to get data on a specific program attend an information session for that program and ask. They will provide the data. Have one kid at UVA and one at VT and the process is very different.
