In the end though, despite my reticence, I’ve got to vote for Blair because things need to change and they need to change badly. This county is sitting at a dangerous precipice and I’m afraid that this might be our last chance to pull ourselves back from the brink. I will admit that I like Elrich. I think he’s sincere. I think he genuinely cares about every part of this county. I think he tries to be inclusive, consistent and fair. I just don’t think he’s effective as a leader. Riemer and Hucker are just the worst possible stereotype of self-centered, smug, entitled and hypocritical liberals. I actually fault that duo more for our current malaise than Elrich because they have been more influential than Elrich the last decade in terms of policies and that’s why we are where we are.
