What is the risk of asymptomatic transmission outdoors? Outdoors with masks? I guarantee it’s negligible. Virtue signaling.
It is much smaller than indoors but not null. Transmission depends on the proximity to others, exposure, and activity (speaking loudly and yelling increases transmission chances). It’s not so black and white. There is no risk of an indoor transmission when people are in separate indoor settings, but there is a risk of an outdoor transmission when people are yelling while standing close to each other.
Indoor transmission is almost 20x more likely. Masks are not as effective as most of us once believed. Staying home is the only zero risk way to live. I hope none of the playground mask shamers ordered a pizza tonight and put the masked kitchen staff at risk. Anyone who thinks playground moms are driving the spread needs a lesson in sociology.
