Interesting comment from the PP. "But don't kid yourself that an emerging program, no matter how hard the club hustles or well-meaning will get into the same tournaments, brackets, as Capital and the others. It just won't happen. Could it happen in 5-10 years? Maybe." Isn't Pride, after two HS classes, already playing in the same tournaments and brackets as Capital? First, we should be congratulating all of the Capital girls who were recruited and will have the opportunity to continue playing the sport they love at the college level. Best of luck to each of them. Second, for those hating on Capital it is not a good look. Capital has a proven history as a successful lacrosse program. Third, starting with the 2023s the talent pool is now being split between several high school clubs, which will impact the strength of future Capital teams. Capital is no longer the only elite local high school club in town and having options is good for all. Will future Capital classes produce 40 college commits -- probably not. Not because they will not have good players, it will be because the best players will be playing for multiple clubs going forward.
