I’m white and got ticketed for jay walking in Adams Morgan. It’s pretty dangerous to ride a fast machine on a sidewalk.  With Philadelphia ransacked, MPD probably correctly felt the need to not allow total chaos to break loose in DC. [/quote]

Just FYI. He was looking for his keys which he had lost earlier. That's why he was on the sidewalk and he was probably driving very slowly so that he could see the keys.

Also: who the hell looks for their keys on the sidewalk by driving a moped? That story makes zero sense, yet it's being taken credulously. Also, there's no way to drive a moped "very slowly" and remain upright. Again, this story is nonsensical. [/quote]
