Jen Hatmaker’s entire career is built around the idea of grace, love, forgiveness, etc.  Even if her initial impulse were to divorce over an affair, before she actually filed the papers cooler heads would prevail and she would try to work through it.  That she jumped so quickly to divorce suggests it was something truly unforgivable, even under a Christian ideal of forgiveness.[/quote]

Absolutely this. Also, there are no leaks, rumors coming out of the church. As a pastor's daughter I can tell you that most congregations will whisper about affairs. But there are unmentionables they won't touch. Young, illegal.[/quote]

They aren’t that involved in the church and it isn’t like the traditional churches. It’s much different. They are removed from the operations and they only have their really close clique of friends. And that clique isn’t going to spill anything, in my opinion. The pruets and sheltons are their closest friends, and they’re all going to keep anything they know very quiet. [/quote]
