Why would any middle of the pack parent be wasting their time reading this drivel? A few parents of strong players and a few in the biz read this and it is doubtful if any one else bothers.
Because they are upset that players they feel unworthy are paying to play at elite levels. Any talk of an elite league going under excites them. You can read it in many of the posts.
It excites the parents of strong players more. There are too many so called "elite" leagues. One is more then enough and I don't think too many parents care which one is it. They just want one
Pretty sure this would only excite the parents of strong players in ECNL, given strong players in DA have built up status and rep and don’t want to potentially leave their clubs. That said, the continued references to pro/rel with lower tier leagues disagrees with your statement entirely.
No. Strong players want to compete with and against other strong players. Everything is watered down in both leagues. One is better. Status and rep is not useful. Talent skill motivation and smarts is useful. College coaches don't even want to know the youth league of the player..they want to get them out on the field and watch what they can do.
