Get up and get off the train at the next stop, duh!!!! If you try to fight back in any way, they’ll see that as a sign of weakness and really start in on you. You might get really hurt, instead of just having your neck stinging from being slapped. Or offer them money to leave you alone. Anything but taking the law into your own hands. [/quote]

But someone upthread just said that the police and prosecutors aren’t going to do anything to enforce the laws against assault of this nature.  If the authorities won’t act, and people can’t take the law into their own hands, what is left?  Cede the public spaces to this sort of behavior?  [/quote]
