Also, I apologize to anyone in advance who might be offended by the quote marks around queer.  I hate that word.  My aunt and her partner were lesbians who came out in the 70s, and they have always hated that word so I picked it up.  When they say the word they actually make the quote marks with their hands lol.  Anyway I realized after I hit submit what I had done and I know that a lot of people, like Hester does, prefer the word.  Who am I to judge!?!  Anyway, mea culpa.[/quote]

I agree that the thing with Hester is her look.  She is definitely outside of typical in her choices of attire, hairstyle, accessories, etc.  She looks different enough with her choices that she is noticeable.[/quote]
