I don’t think it’s a “story” as much as understanding the market for your clothes. Are you targeting the young and trendy girl on the party scene? Working women who need classic staples? Bohemian chic types? That helps when you’re in a rut - put your target audience woman in the situation and figure out what she would wear to a ... wedding/gala/lunch date etc.

^Also, I worry that the pressure from the judges to have a story will make Sebastian start to overthink his work. Are they intentionally trying to throw him off?

The judges' insistence that he have a "story" for his work really is super annoying. Story or not, his collection was the most cohesive look on that runway. All of his beautifully crafted garments tied together beautifully. They want him to put his creative genius into words but it isn't something that he can verbalize like that.

Agree about Sebastian. The minute Christian walked in the door in Fort Lauderdale for the check-in and I saw the dresses, I said wow.

Had to laugh a little re the breast pocket on one of the outfits, given the kerfuffle over Ivanka’s dress in London. I guess it IS a thing!

Superficial - Garo really porked up.

Random - at first it looked like the “dirty wall clock” was installed in the new workroom, but after a while, it seemed just to be a reflection.

I felt so badly for Bishme but it was the right call. He needs a little more time to develop and grow. He'll be okay and he'll be back, mark my words! He is very talented and at the end was playing a little out of his league.

I absolutely loved Sebastian's looks. If that orange dress suit were on sale today I would buy it immediately and I would rock it. Oh how I love it. I also really liked the sheer striped dress. It was super smart to open with it because it made such a positive impression. For the other dress, Nina (I think it was Nina) was bang on that if that orange belt were for sale at Hermes, they would be out of stock in a heartbeat.

I also really liked Garo's sparkly cocktail dress. That is another one I would buy in a heartbeat. I unfortunately don't like either of the other outfits.

Hester's outfits looked very well made but they are too immature (juvenile? I'm not sure which is the right word) for me so I wouldn't want to wear them. I could see one of my daughters in the white dress. I think it is about an inch or two too short for the model.

Sebastian for the win.

Aw what happened to Bishme was sad . I hated to see that. I really thought that his two black outfits were fabulous. That last one, though...poor guy.

Sebastian's collection was flawless. He's going to win this.

I really liked Hester's red outfit. She really pulled it off with that one.

Garo...I was expecting to be wowed by his collection and I was not wowed at all. Not sure what happened there. It didn't even look like his work.

This contest is going to be between Hester and Garo for second place. They are both fantastic and they both have the talent to take second.

At this point, I like all 4 of them and would be happy with whichever one wins.

Poor Bishme!! I wanted to hug him during that whole episode. I feel like the judges probably made the right call. His collection just wasn’t ready for fashion week yet.

I was a little surprised at that first look from Hester. It was straight out of Clueless. Looked like a copy of Cher’s driving test shirt. I’m not a fan of her style, but she puts on an interesting show.

Sebastian’s collection looks really cool. I’m glad to see him projecting confidence going into the finale. He’s got a great shot at winning.

I’m not convinced Garo is as much of an underdog as this last judging would have us believe. They’ve done this kind of drama on the show before — trashing the preview collection and then loving it at the finale (Kentaro comes to mind).

I hope Bishme wins. He is an Accountant! I love an underdog

I think it will be an upset with Hester, Garo, Sebastian and Bishme in that order. I don't think that Hester should win but the judges really like Hester's wacky out-there look/vibe and that overrides everything else. I like Garo's elegance a lot but in some ways he is hemming himself in by limiting himself to looks that work with the corset.

Also, I apologize to anyone in advance who might be offended by the quote marks around queer. I hate that word. My aunt and her partner were lesbians who came out in the 70s, and they have always hated that word so I picked it up. When they say the word they actually make the quote marks with their hands lol. Anyway I realized after I hit submit what I had done and I know that a lot of people, like Hester does, prefer the word. Who am I to judge!?! Anyway, mea culpa.

Sebastian is gay and I'm not clear if Garo and Bishme are, too. But maybe they are also? I don't think that Hester being gay is anything that sets her apart.

I agree that the thing with Hester is her look. She is definitely outside of typical in her choices of attire, hairstyle, accessories, etc. She looks different enough with her choices that she is noticeable.
