I get better results with wet hair too but have thin hair and a lot of it. My very expensive hair cutter asked what I used on my hair. I told him and asked if it was okay. He said "as long as you keep it moving it will be fine. Just like you would not leave an iron on a shirt - you have to keep it moving or it will burn." I think most people who complained about this product likely left it in their hair without movement. You've got to keep it moving but at least you are only holding the device and not a dryer and a brush! In any event, everyone I recommend this thing to loves it. Just recommended to a colleague and it has changed her life. And no, I do not work for Revlon!
+1 And my high-end hairdresser also commented on how great my hair looked when I went in for a cut. In the past, I had always gone in with my usual somewhat frizzy/poofy hair. This time, it was freshly blown out with my Revlon thingy. She couldn't believe how professional it looked. Secretly, I think it looked better than her blowouts.
