In reality, Howard County has traditionally been a very white county, but it has been evolving over time. It is following Montgomery County by about 10 years based on the statistics. So Hoco in 2018 is like Moco in 2010, Hoco in 2010 is like Moco in 2000, and so on. Those of Hispanic or Latino origin made up 11.5% of the population. 2010 Census, Montgomery County 971,777 people, 357,086 households, and 244,898 families residing in the county 7.5% white, 17.2% black or African American, 13.9% Asian, 0.4% American Indian, 0.1% Pacific islander, 7.0% from other races, and 4.0% from two or more races.
