My DD has been accepted into 8 schools, has 2 deferrals and no rejections. Just an FYI- we are very pleasantly surprised. She has a 3.5, 27 ACT and her main activities are volunteering and sports (but nothing too notable). We were super worried about her getting into a school with her gpa, but she has been accepted into many well regarded large state schools and a few mid-sized privates. No ivy, UVA, etc. but good schools. I'm just sharing this for all those who worry as we did. On this board it seems like it's over 4.0 or your kid should go to vocational school.
Another "average student" here. DD has a 3.4 GPA and 1290 SAT. She has been accepted to 12 schools, deferred at 2 and 1 rejection. All solid schools, nice to have options.
Congrats, PP’s!!! Would you mind sharing the school names?
I'm sure most on here will look down on these schools but here you go: Butler, College of Charleston, Indiana, Miami OH, St. Joe's, Towson (in-state), Delaware, Pitt, South Carolina. Deferred at Elon and JMU. Denied by Tulane. Still waiting on Clemson, UMD, UConn, Miami and VT.
