This is a strange thread. Perhaps I missed it but where exactly did an identified Wootton parent trash RM? The only 2 W posters (one of whom was me) have been fine/favorable to RM. The IB program makes RM very attractive to people looking at the Wootton area for good schools and the high academic reputation at Wootton makes it attractive to people looking in RM for good schools. I think there is far more similarities between Wootton/RM than say Wootton/QO. The other weird thing is the poster who really wants Dufief to be knocked out of Wootton. StoneMill which already has split articulation into Cabin John and then back to Wootton is closer to Crown and has the split. Dufief kids go to Frost which has no split. Last but not least is the poster who is just hoping that Wootton will be destroyed and everyone that lives in the cluster will lose 500K -which isn't even realistic but why on earth is your priority to knock down a successful area of the county? This is worse than the DCC parents who desperately want boundary changes so they get into Blair and their house prices go up. What the spiteful, I can get revenge for some perceived hurt or my own insecurity or whatever posters do not understand is that significant boundary changes in al already failing county and failing school system would hurt everyone. It won't make the "winners'" houses appreciate because no one will trust that this school wont be next by the time their kids are in school. If MCPS honestly wants to balance FARMS it will have to keep shifting the boundaries or it will have achieved nothing. It is another huge win for NOVA.
