Read this article on why there aren't more women in Tech.  I didn't make it up.  If you don't have the numbers (because you self-select away into something else) you can't make a difference.

This is actually a good article. Women in developed countries avoid STEM because they can live comfortable lives with a Liberal Arts degrees. In less-developed countries, women are more likely to major in STEM fields out of economic necessity. [/quote]
