Shady grove gets away with this due to name recognition only.  I was charged about $2,500 total for a IUI treatment at Shady grove.  This same exact treatment only costs $350 at the above listed two fertility centers.  This is a huge markup for shady grove.  The entire time we were there, we felt like we were simply a NUMBER.  Not a patient that anyone cared about.  In addition, we were forced to “SNEAK” our daughter into their office for several appts, because we were unable to find a babysitter.  The reason for this was that we were told, “the presence of a child in our waiting rooms might UPSET, other patients in the room”.  It was like we were trying to sneak our two year old daughter past CUSTOMS at an airport like she was CONTRABAND or something.  I mean, SERIOUSLY, what do these women do at a grocery store when they see an infant or toddler?  Do they have a mental breakdown?  We NEVER had to deal with this kind of issue at Dr. Iriannies Office in winchester VA.  At one point during an exam, the nurse actually said “you need to get her out of the way”. Meaning my two year old daughter, “so I can do my job.”  SERIOUSELY.  Shady grove should be ashamed of themselves for the way they treat their patients, for the amount of money that they charge for the same procedures that other fertility clinics do at a fraction of the cost, and for their inability to treat patients as patients instead of just numbers.  I plan on posting this review to as many websites as possible.  I really don’t know why so many people think your clinic is SO great.  Maybe they don’t have any other experience to compare you to?  I don’t know.  But your customer service and patient care and understanding of mothers inability to find babysitters is PATHETIC.  YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED IF YOURSELVES!!!!!!!![/quote]
