First of all, there are so many people "warehoused" in that waiting room every time you go in! You really do feel like just a number in the waiting room, and although the doctor is great, you spend so much time not interacting with these people in the waiting room (no one talks in there, it's very uncomfortable) that it becomes a negative part of your experience. You really do feel like just a number. Also after almost 3 years of trying we have come to a crossroads and three months ago stopped - yet no one has called to follow up or see what direction we want to go. It is in a nutshell pretty anonymous. The one really bright spot about the Shady Grove Rockville location is the pharmacist downstairs who really and truly goes out of his way to go the extra mile for every patient who he sees.
Thanks yelp, wish I had read your reviews before I wasted so much time and money at SG:

As you should. Because that's what you are. No sure what is expected out of a waiting room.
SG isn't perfect but I have a baby on the way because of it.
Seriously who cares about the waiting room? As long as there is climate control and seating I don't see what the problem is. The waiting rooms at SG seemed like the waiting rooms at other doctors offices to me. Who cares that you feel like just a number? You really expect the doctors and nurses to deeply care about you and spend time telling you so? Do you care deeply about the nurses and the doctors? Their goal is to get you pregnant - that's it. I don't think it's strange you stopped treatment and they haven't called you. I don't think they should be reaching out to convince patients to undergo additional treatments. That's up to you. You sound like you have some issues.

What is it you'd want to talk about?
LOL. Not the PP, but just try this in any other medical setting:
Car crash: we saved your life...what exactly do you want to talk about
Removed the tumor successfully: what exactly do you want to talk about?

(I'm 100% willing to talk to people about my detailed qualms- especially if it'll help them choose to not deal with shady grove!!)
